Make the Transition to Following

We all want to make a difference! We all have concern about our society’s future in light of the climate crisis, but what can we individuals do?

I want to talk to you about how you can support and motivate real change, now. I have worked for park agencies and nonprofits. I have volunteered for many community associations and several political parties. So, I have not only been around the block a few times, I have been around the world, too. I would like to share what I have learned on these journeys. By following my "formula", you will not only see results within minutes, but you will have fun, too. Of course, this isn’t a rigid formula; a one-size-fits-all approach. But it is an approach that you can use to move our community ahead in its quest for a more sustainable lifestyle.

I challenge you to each find aspects of our lives that thrill you, that move us all toward sustainability, and then do more of those things. Expand what is great, and support the people who are creating those opportunities. Be a terrific follower; someone who allows the leaders to set audacious goals and then achieve them.

“The Amphibian Extinction Crisis and the Role of Zoos in Conservation”.

Amphibians are declining worldwide at an unprecedented rate. The reasons for this are numerous, but pollution, disease, invasive species, and habitat loss are key factors. However, zoos can help save amphibian species from extinction by maintaining captive assurance colonies or by hosting conservation breeding programs for reintroduction.
