Federal MPs Farm Visit

The Grain Growers of Canada, our national advocacy group representing Canadian grain farmers, invited federal Members of Parliament (MPs) in July to visit farms across the prairies. One stop was at Devin Hartzler’s farm near Carstairs, who serves as the second vice-chair of Alberta Grains. The visiting MPs included John Barlow (Foothills), Earl Dreeshen (Red Deer – Mountain View) and Pat Kelly (Calgary – Rocky Ridge). The visit included a tour of the Hartzler’s operation and a discussion on pertinent issues such as the capital gains increase and the right to repair legislation.
