Changes to the AgriStability Program for 2025
Agricultural Financial Services Corporation (AFSC) together with the provincial and federal government have announced changes to AgriStability, one of the Business Risk Management suite of programs under the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership. In the coming program year, farmers will have a new option to align AgriStability reporting with tax filling with the intention of reducing paperwork, accounting fees and expediating payments - making enrollment in the program easier. AgriStability, provides farmers with a whole-farm risk management tool that protects against large declines beyond their capacity to manage. These changes together with other changes made in previous years are a step toward making the AgriStability program more predictable, timely and simple for farmers.
