he Alberta Whisky Act aims to define an Alberta whisky brand including ingredient composition, distillation practices and aging requirements. With glacier-fed water and world-class Alberta grains, our province produces some of the best whisky in the world. The Government of Alberta is looking to build on this reputation and support the growth of our whisky brand. Alberta Grains is actively involved in conversations around the development of the Alberta Whisky Act, advocating for continued acknowledgment of Alberta’s agricultural advantage and premium grain growing region.
