Gate progress update

The Global Agricultural Technology Exchange (Gate) has received a second round of donations from the Province of Manitoba, bringing the province’s total commitment to $23.5 million towards the project’s $100 million capital campaign.

Gate has also signed a MOU with James Richardson & Sons, Limited (JRSL). A JRSL subsidiary has pledged an in-kind donation of land for the Gate facility, contingent on the success of the project’s $100 million capital campaign.

To date, the project has raised over $42 million including $4.3 million from Alberta Grains. Once complete, Gate will significantly strengthen Canada’s research, development, and innovation capacity in agriculture.
