Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s Minister MacAulay’s Farm Visit

On July 9, 2024 Alberta Grains coordinated a visit for Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s Lawrence MacAulay together with new Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Lawrence Hanson. The contingent visited Alberta Grains’ delegate LeRoy Newman’s farm, together with representatives of Team Alberta Crops. The group held a brief tour of the farm and the innovative equipment on display, followed by a discussion on key policy issues related to: grain by rail, sustainability, investments in research and the changes to the capital gains inclusion rates.
