Phase 2 of Provincial Water Availability Engagement Open

The Government of Alberta is gathering input to help enhance the water management system in Alberta and make more water available to use for years to come. This builds on an earlier engagement this year in which Alberta Grains spearheaded the development of a submission on behalf of Team Alberta Crops.

In the phase 2 engagement, the province wants to hear your thought on proposed Water Act amendments that seek to increase the availability of water to Alberta municipalities, businesses and agricultural producers, while continuing to protect the environment. Alberta Grains will respond to the consultation which closes on June 30, 2025 and encourages all producers have their voices heard.
