Speed limit increase on divided highways – engagement survey

The Alberta Government is seeking input on increasing the speed limit on divided highways by 10 km/hr. Currently the speed limits on these types of roads typically range from 100 to 110 km/hr. Only the divided highways under the provincial jurisdiction are being considered and would be piloted on a small scale first.

Alberta Grains encourages farmers to take part in the survey if you have concerns as to how this may impact your operations. The survey is now open until December 12. Alberta Grains will be preparing a written submission.
