Alberta Grains is a member of Cereals Canada, a national, not-for-profit association that represents the Canadian cereals value chain and provides technical information and market support to help maintain and grow demand for Canadian wheat and other cereal grains.

One highlight of this year’s presentation was Alberta Grains' board chair Scott Jespersen of Parkland County sharing insights from his farm, giving a global audience a firsthand look at how wheat is grown on the Prairies and the care taken to deliver a safe, reliable, high-quality crop.

Cereals Canada emphasized that global wheat demand continues to grow and that the qualities found in Canadian wheat are highly sought after around the world. The 2025 growing season delivered a strong year for CWRS and a good year for CWAD despite some challenges, with export forecasts of 22.3 million metric tonnes for non-durum and 5.1 million metric tonnes for durum—demonstrating continued global reliance on Canadian wheat.
