On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF) re-opens application intakes for 150 new projects

The On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF  )provides financial support to help farmers adopt on-farm beneficial management practices (BMPs). RDAR has been selected by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada to distribute the funds for this program. The three main areas of focus for BMP adoption are:

• Nitrogen management

• Cover cropping

• Rotational grazing

Farmers in Alberta with a minimum gross farm income of $25,000 are eligible to apply. The minimum project cost is $2,500 and must include a BMP action plan made in consultation with a Professional Agrologist (Pag) or Certified Crop Advisor (CCA). Funding is available for 150 projects, and applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis until the funds are fully allocated.
