Team Alberta Crops unveils new branding

Team Alberta Crops, a working collaboration between Alberta’s eight crop commissions that advocates to government and regulatory organizations on behalf of farmers, has unveiled a new logo to celebrate the 2022 expansion from four to eight commodity groups. The new logo, inspired by the previous shape of the brand includes a nod to the patchwork quilt look that Alberta has with its diverse agriculture and the crops grown in the province from a bird’s eye view.
The eight crop commissions that makeup Team Alberta Crops are producer-elected, directed and funded organizations, governed by the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act of the Province of Alberta. Collectively, Team Alberta Crops represents approximately 40,000 farmer members.
Team Alberta Crops works together specifically to advocate on behalf of farmers, provide policy input to the government, promote the sustainability of Alberta’s crop sector, and to ensure long-term access to markets. Over the years, the group has influenced key policy files on AgriInsurance, Mandatory Entry Level Training (MELT), and fertilizer emissions, among others.
The Alberta Wheat and Barley Commissions are two of the original commissions that formed Team Alberta Crops and are proud to see the group evolve and include more members.
