Keeping grains safe in storage

With a variable crop coming off in parts of Alberta, storage considerations will need to be front of mind. Grain temperature and moisture are the two key factors for safe grain storage. If one or both factors are not properly managed, the risk of spoiled grain can increase significantly.

Refer to the following storage charts developed by the Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) for the safe range of grain moisture and temperatures.
