Bacterial leaf streak and black chaff of cereal crops in the Prairies
Bacterial leaf streak (BLS) is increasing in occurrence in Western Canada. This bacterial disease, although visually similar to fungi diseases, is managed differently. Not only that, the disease can infect seed and be passed on to crop seeded in following years. The first step in combating BLS is being knowledgeable on its life cycle symptoms so you can manage your crop accordingly.
