Delayed Seeding: What works best for a shorter growing season?

Some areas in the northern half of the province have experienced some delay in seeding. Late snowmelt and spring snow/rain has stopped growers from getting the equipment into the field until late-May and into June. Late seeding has a few risks, including accelerated crop development, more exposure to diseases, and in general, reduced yield potential. Adapting to the challenge of late seeding through agronomic management can help mitigate potential impacts.
