Fall perennial weed control
A dry seeding season followed by ample rains at in-crop herbicide timing has led weed escapes. Likely within those escaped weeds will be perennials such as Canada thistle, foxtail barley, quackgrass and dandelion. A rapid and early(region dependant) harvest has left farmers in an opportune situation to manage perennial weeds with a fall herbicide application.
This article developed by the Canola Council details assessing fields for when to apply a fall herbicide to make the most of the application.
