Drive across the province and you will find contrast. Wet conditions in the spring caused delayed seeding and unseeded acres in the north western and Peace regions of the province. On the flip side, southern parts of the province witnessed great seeding conditions and continue to see sporadic moisture over and above the previous 3-4 years. The north will be banking on an open fall, while the south will hope for continued rains. If the rains continue, disease and lodging will increase in concern.
Fungicide and PGR timing is upon us. This newsletter addresses many of the fundamentals around both of these topics.
