Seeding rates for wheat and barley

Each year, the province of Alberta seeds roughly 3 to 4 million acres of barley and 6 million acres of wheat. One of the many best seeding practices recommended to make the most out of each acre, is to seed based on accurate seeding rates using thousand kernel weight. Accurate seeding rates that target recommendations supported by research have been shown to benefit yield, disease management, crop maturity, weed competition, and yield consistency.
