The Alberta Wheat and Alberta Barley extension team has grown!

This month, the commissions welcomed a new member to the extension team. Please welcome Ruoxi Xia!

Ruoxi (pronounced ‘Rosie’) joined us on January 30th. Coming from BASF, Ruoxi has worked in various roles within the agricultural industry across Canada, in the areas of pest management, breeding and agronomy.

Ruoxi completed her B.Sc. in Agriculture at the University of Alberta and her M.Sc. at the University of Guelph where she studied Fusarium head blight of wheat. Her experience, knowledge and passion for extension will expand the value the commissions seek to provide Alberta farmers.
