Alberta Crop Diagnostics Days 

Alberta Grains, Alberta Pulse Growers, and Alberta Canola have partnered with Lethbridge Polytechnic, Lakeland College and Western Crop Innovations to host three field days across the province. These field days showcase agronomic and crop management topics that are top of mind for farmers, agronomists, and industry across Alberta.

The Alberta Crop Diagnostic Days will occur as a collaborative partnership at the remaining locations:

Lakeland College

Date: July 16, 2026 

Time: Check-in at 7:45 a.m.

Location: Lakeland College Crop Plots (5 miles west of the Vermillion, AB campus)

Breton Plots Field Day 

Date: July 22, 2026 

Time: 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Location: Breton Plots, Range Rd 40, Brazeau County, AB T0C 0P0 

Please join us at the University of Alberta Breton Plots, a historic and unique site that is one of the longest running agricultural soil experiments in North America. It continues to enable research on soil health, higher yields, greenhouse gas emissions, nitrogen fertilizers, nutrient balances, crop rotation and carbon sequestration.

Prairie Precision Sustainability Network Field Day 

Date: July 28, 2026

Time: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. 

Location: Werklund Agriculture and Technology Centre, Olds College 

The Prairie Precision Sustainability Network Field Day will feature expert presentations on precision agriculture and marginal land use, as well as the opportunity to go into the field and see some of the research projects in progress at the Olds College Smart Farm.
