Winter Cereals Incentive Plan

Did you know that Ducks Unlimited Canada provides incentives for farmers who plant winter wheat? Winter wheat offers critical habitat for ducks, birds, and other wildlife by providing additional foliage and groundcover for nesting in the spring that otherwise wouldn’t be available. 

Farmers can receive $20/acre, up to $5,000, to plant winter wheat, fall rye, or triticale through the Ducks Unlimited Winter Cereals Program.
