Make Your Acres Count Campaign – 4R for Alberta Farmers

On July 9, 2025, at our annual Combine to Craft event, Alberta Grains, Alberta Agriculture and Irrigation (AGI), Alberta Environment and Protected Areas (EPA) and Fertilizer Canada signed a three-year memorandum of understanding (MOU), to work collectively to improve production and environmental stewardship through greater awareness of 4R practices and principles.

One of the shared objectives of the MOU is to support the tools, metrics and measures that demonstrate the work that farmers are already doing in leading the way on responsible fertilizer use.

To this end we are pleased to launch our campaign, Make Your Acres Count! to inform farmers and agronomists in Alberta on how they can have their acres added to the over 2.2 million acres already counted in Alberta under 4R practices.
